Get these as soon as possible and let me know if you have an issue procuring anything here. We’ll be doing calligraphy the third week of class. The links below here are to non-Amazon websites if that is relevant to you, but if you have Prime or whatnot or that’s not a philosophical issue they should all be available on Amazon.

Pilot Parallel pens︎

For class, you’ll just need the green one (3.8mm) cartridges. Though having the set is usually not prohibitive and fun. If you’re left handed you need a different one, please let me know.

Extra ink cartridges︎

These run out after maybe, a couple of sessions if you’re writing actrively. You do need to rinse out/clean the tip if you have a bunch of colors, but black is fine. I will have extras for class. 

Rhodia A4 spiral notebook (dot version)︎

We probably won’t go through a whole notebook in class. I’d recommend if you think you’ll be interested in this getting a smaller one that you could bring to say, a coffee shop or whatnot.


Other stuff you (probably) have already

  • A ruler 
  • A pencil
  • Perhaps another piece of paper to place under your hand if you’re messy.
