Things to Think About
- What is your relationship to the positivity or in its worst iterations, sychophancy of LLM chatbots like ChatGPT?
- Consider other interfaces an LLM like OpenAI might have chosen, and how a chatbot might make a human more invested in speaking with it. What other interfaces might be more convenient? effective? productive?
- Have you experienced anything approaching AI Psychosis? Do you know anyone who has? If no, why do you think someone might be lured in by the sycophancy of an LLM chatbot?
- What are your thoughts on this technology essentially being beta-tested on humanity?
- What are potential positive effects of AI sycophancy?
