Project, A.I. "An Indivdual"

Introduction

For this project, you'll direct me, an individual, or A.I., to create a collaborative project that the class works on.

You'll decide in concert, with some input from me, mostly for reasons of feasability, what the project will be. You'll design and divide the labor of all asset creation, and I'll do the coding. You must instruct me what you'd like to do and I will implement it based on your instructions.

We'll take time for these sessions in class as much as possible, and we'll both take time to work on our respective sides of the project. For example, if you wanted to create something like Doom I'd need to learn about the underlying programming concepts to simulate 3D and you'd need to create the textures, HUD, enemy designs, etc.

Objective(s)

  • Understand how to communicate with other humans (collaborate).
  • Understand how to communicate with computers + AI (artificial intelligence).
  • Learn about working into a team environnment, with different roles, where labor is distributed.

Final Submission

  • A project which we collectively agree on (game, website, etc.)
  • The "prompts" or notes that you use to communicate with me.
  • Any designs for ephemera (characters, posters, typefaces, etc.)
  • Documentation of the project running, if applicable.

Requirements

  • The project cannot be prohibitively expensive (buying switches, enclosures, is acceptable)
  • The project, and its code, must incoroporate the CPX in some way (as an interface)
  • You (the students) must design all assets and ephemera.
  • You (the students) must save (and take) notes on your communication with me, throughout the project.

Grading Rubric

  • 50% → Concept
  • 30% → Communication
  • 20% → Execution
