02. Translation
Summary
As we move forward, I will give you some ideas for things to focus on, or options you have in your typeface designs. One of them is translation which stems from the type of pens we will use for calligraphy, flat wide nibbed pen.
Translation is simply taking that shape and dragging it. This gives us the basis for stress(holding the pen at 0 vs 90 degrees), axes (look at the O), and informs some of the history of type.
