01. Statement and CV
Introduction
In order to help continue to guide your creative process as you make and amend work throughout the semester, we'll craft a designer's statement. Additionally we'll create a CV from which you can craft résumés that are curated to specific job posts, or intentions.
Objectives
- Gain greater facility with writing about one's own process.
- Gain a greater sense of the relationship between writing as part of one's practice
- Gain a greater understanding of the role a CV/résumé plays in crafting the narrative of your practice.
Deliverables
- a résumé that highlights your work experience, background, and skills.
- a reference CV document.
- a design statement to communicate your background and approach to design. A short writing exercise will help you practice crafting an engaging piece of communication with a specific audience in mind.
- all research and drafts leading to your final statement and résumé
