Communal Fonts

A class-built uppercase alphabet assembled from letters assigned across Typographic Investigations. Its conventional Weight axis is paired with a deliberately unruly Freakiness axis.

A prior Typographic Investigations communal variable typeface. Its single custom FCKT axis moves the class alphabet from its default drawings toward a more radically altered extreme.

A communal Latin alphabet with an additional Baybayin character set. The Weight axis interpolates the class drawings across a broad 0–500 range.

An uppercase teaching face for demonstrating translated-stroke construction. Rotation changes the tool angle while Fragment Width changes the width of the constructed stroke pieces.

A class typeface digitized from letters composed physically with half-inch gaffer tape. The source exercise emphasized kinesthetic construction and collective decisions before digital refinement.

A Visual Language communal typeface made by dividing glyph assignments among the class, reviewing the combined alphabet together, and using it in a series of square compositions.

An uppercase display system built from three independently widening columns. The separate column axes let the letterforms redistribute their internal width while preserving the upright construction.
