Important Update for Senior Project Students

Starting this year, all Senior Projects must be completed over two semesters. One-semester projects will no longer be approved. Please plan your schedules and workloads accordingly to allow enough time for research, development, and production.

Academic Standards and Sophomore Year

As a department, we are addressing grade inflation across the program to maintain high academic and creative standards. Grades will better reflect the quality, effort, and originality of each student’s work. A's and A+’s will be reserved for exceptional work.

The sophomore year will be more rigorous, with increased expectations for craft, concept development, and critical thinking. This is a crucial stage in preparing for the advanced studios and the Senior Project.
